Casey Easton has been professionally cooking since 1999. She has been the private chef for many families on the Front Range, including the founder of Wild Oats. From 2005-2007 she had a successful run with her booth at the Boulder Farmers Market, where she featured a variety fresh, local cuisine. After 9 years as a private chef, she created Simple Spoon Cooking Classes and in early 2009 Simple Catering was born. She loves planning menus and creating dishes to compliment each and every event.

Casey’s culinary education began in Boulder at The School of Natural Cookery and she has added to her repertoire by attending classes when she travels abroad to places such as Thailand and Brazil. She believes that with every dish she cooks she is learning more, and that her knowledge as a chef expands with every dish she eats. Sustainability, organic and local foods have been on the forefront of her menus since she started cooking. Her culinary idol is Rick Bayless and her favorite cookbook is flipping through the pages of her monthly Food and Wine magazine.
